I worked on the W-818 aileron push tubes today. I first drilled #30 holes through the 1/2" steel tube and rod ends and deburred. I then riveted the pieces together and painted the tubes. I had to drill out about four rivets as they were a little difficult to squeeze on a round tube. Holding the tubes in a rubber jawed vise while squeezing rivets helped a lot.
Next session I will put a wing on the bench and start installing flap, ailerons, and push tubes.
