While at Oshkosh we took a lot of time to cover all the airplane categories and Kidventure. Tanner thought the warbirds were the coolest and Colten took a special interest in the ultralights this year. He said he liked them because they were simple without all the navigation, radios, etc and just fun flying. Can't argue with that I guess.
Colten and I partnered up and bought an micro light remote controlled Cub. It is a blast to fly and looks surprisingly scale. The only bummer was when the propeller shaft broke and we had to wait until driving through Milwaukee to buy parts.
Tanner spent his money on a realistic play sword. A guy that was in the Olympics fencing competition a couple times had a stand in the flymarket selling them. Tanner couldn't resist and had fun slaying us all week.
The five days at Airventure went fast, but it was enough time and still gave us the weekend to unpack before I went back to work. It was a memorable trip.
