Brief Description:  Finished aileron trim tab

While Joy and AJ were in Ensenada distributing Christmas presents with our church group, I made a morning trip out to Chino to meet our new hangar partner, Bill Moyle. He seems like a great guy with lots of aviation experience including flying 727s commercially. He'll soon be starting his RV-8 project, so it should be exciting to see that come to life. For most of the rest of the day, I was hard at it, doing all the little steps (with care) to complete the aileron trim tab. The last couple of hours were spent making up mini DSub connectors for the wiring. This was the first time I've made anything up like this, so I was glad for the online help of Bob Nuckolls. The wires on the Ray Allen servo are micro-fine, so one really has to take great care in assembling them to last. As the picture below shows, I completed the DSub connections, but still need to immobilize the wires with "Shoe Goo" tomorrow, followed by a final heat shrinking of the entire assembly.
