Brief Description: Nearly ready to rivet right bottom skin
|
|
Today I got a ton accomplished. Alas, not all of it was airplane related. Last week we started a project to put tile in our downstairs bathroom. This morning the grout had cured so I sealed it and reset the toilet. Exciting stuff, huh! That, and lunch, delayed my shop time, but I managed to fit in nearly 8 hours. I did all the precise measuring required to drill the bottom of the leading edge skin, and did so. From there, my next step was to drill everything on the bottom of the wing up from #40 to either #30 (nose ribs) or #20 (everything else). That, and deburring hundreds of holes took more time than you would ever expect. Well, that makes me ready to clean and prime them, make a few holes for misc. parts (to be described tomorrow) and then I'm ready to rivet and flip the wing. Yippee.
