Brief Description:  Drilled right wing top skin & discovered error

I was 3 hours and 50 minutes into this exercise when I was placing my top skin back onto the leveled wing skeleton and I noticed the rib line was out of alignment. I must admit, to my embarrassment, that I had not read the plan correctly and subsequently missed an important concept on wing construction. The plans call for the #1 rib line to be 102mm from the inboard edge of the top skin. I set the 102mm dimension on the front side (wing spar) but didn't do that on the back side (rear channel). The result was wings that were angled forward. The ribs were not perpendicular to the main wing spar. Needless to say, I was completely and utterly bummed. The good news: I discovered it on my right wing before I drilled a single hole into the skeleton (whew!). The bad news: I made the same mistake on my left wing, which is already skinned top and bottom (not whew!) That wing will have to be completely redone. I'll post the fix on my next entry.
