Practice makes perfect. That is really true in this kind of precision drilling. By the time I was working on my second spar -- tonight's project --- I was able to complete the whole thing in probably half the time of my first spar. Last night I placed my online order for two chucking reamers (5/16" and 1/4"), a tapered hand reamer (1/8" to 1/2"), and an adjustable hole cutter (range from 2" to 12"). With any luck those will arrive by the weekend, so I can keep moving. My next steps are fabricating the spar cap angles and nose rib angles, as well as marking my rivet holes by type so I will know the final size to drill up to.
