Got the spar caps down from the loft and started comparing them to the print. I want to understand comprehend their features so I have a good idea what looks "right" before I begin clamping and drilling these expensive pieces.
Though not picutured here, Sonex provides laser cut spacers for setting the positions of the top and bottom spar caps in relation to the web. I had forgotten about them at first, and was scratching my head trying to figure out how I was going to get them position correctly from the references provided on the print.
I notice I need some deep throat clamp. I'll plan on picking some up tomorrow. I'm also supposed to get the 0.2470 reamer soon.... Speaking of which, I'm seeing a lot of "tight fit" callouts for AN3 bolts on the main spar assembly. Wouldn't want this to be too easy :-)
