I spent most of the day at Tehachapi Airport's annual Celebration of Flight, serving on the ground crew for the associated Young Eagles Rally (unofficially 109 kids!). About all I had the energy left for afterwards was a 3-hour nap ( ;O) ), and a quick inspection prior to final riveting the top main skins on the left wing.
I was about to call it good when I noticed that I hadn't dimpled the top side of rib #7, counting from inboard. I quick grabbed the squeezer and took care of that little detail. I'm waaaay glad I found it before starting riveting! I took a little extra time and put a finger on every hole to ensure that I hadn't missed any other dimples.
(Edit 9/23/12: despite my best efforts, I still managed to miss dimpling the second hole outboard of the reinforcement bars on the top side of the rear spar flange prior to riveting main top skins. I took care of that with the tools in photo1, with the results in photo 2. The rivet came out nice and flush, and there's no gap between the skin and spar flange.)
