Brief Description: Riveting Outboard Leading Edge Assembly
What a pain in the *ss! Started and mostly finished riveting the LE skin assemblies. I still have to mount the stall warning system in the left wing along with the Garmin Pitot so I will not rivet left side to spar until I figure things out. I looked at the stall warning section and it seems to be pretty straightforward.
I started riveting aft working my way toward leading edge. The very forward 3 holes or so are pretty awkward spots. Holding the gun at the proper angle while ensuring bucking bar is in right location is easier said than done. Once the left side was done, the right side went much faster.
I riveted the tops halfway down before installing the J stiffener, This way you have clear access to all rivets. Nothing in the way.
Using a insulated glove on left hand to hold the bucking bar helps absorb vibration from gun!
