Brief Description:  Blue foam to the rescue!

While 4 expensive, left over sheets of blue foam sat in my guest bedroom with no purpose left in this build, I wondered if I would attempt to sell them or if they would end up being lost in a pile of EZ supplies for the rest of eternity. It's times like these that it's REALLY REALLY good that nothing got thrown away in haste.
I began by cutting 2" strips of foam and bonding them to the belly of the aircraft with the Hot glue gun. Things started moving very quickly and I actually found myself enjoying the task. I would eventually make smaller or larger strips either rectangle or triangle to better follow the curves and it was much easier than I assumed it would be. The blue foam is rigid enough to hold it's shape, but not so much that it can't be bent and manipulated. The hot glue gun was the star of the show making this job a snap! The day started late and I soon ran out of glue sticks so I headed to hobby lobby to get another bag of them then headed home.
I'd like to add that I was easily able to contour the joggles with a small sanding block and 80 grit. Again, the blue foam is very rigid and makes it nice when needing to sand out. I'm pretty sure I'll be finished and ready for glass work as of tomorrow night. :) :) :D
