Brief Description: First tire rotation...right in time
Well with the pants on I rarely get down and check the tread wear on the tires, but I knew it was wearing down so I decided to check and BOY and am I glad. After only 64 landings, the tread was next to bald. I also noticed how uneven the wear is due to the axel angle. I assume a heavier engine would fix that but this may require me to take the long road and change the axel angle which will also require quite of bit of wheel pant changes too. For now, I rotated them and we shall see how many TOTAL landings I get out of them. Part of the wear issue is due to the first 10 landings or so having really tight bearings and causing excessive drag. Either way, if I can up that number to 100 landings per side I'll be happy and keep things the way they are. Before installation I repacked the bearings, cleaned em up real nice and replaced both tubes. These will take me to San Antonio.
