So the tightly enclosed, low drag wheel pants are great except for 2 reasons. HIGH heat build up inside during hard braking, and due to the addition of the heat shield, now the wheels stick out too much. Solutions are to cut the aft end of the pants open to vent the heat when parked and to add glass where the tires stick out. That's what went down today. Lots of foam, carving, and taping to apply the first of 4 plies of glass but I'm pretty happy how things are looking so far.
