Sanding micro for hours sucks. But not as bad as doing it upside down in cramped places for 6 hours. NASTY. no fun. But we're here now at the finish line. I sanding the inside of the scoop first, then bonded the lower lip of the scoop back on using flox, then micro filler. I then sanded the inside of that portion and the inside was ready for primer. I then added a nice layer of wet micro to the exteriror and contoured it down enough to be ready for primer as well. I then shot 2 "overly wet" coats of primer both inside and out. Easy to say all that, but was NOT fun work. This scoop better be a freakin miracle. lol. For now, this will be the primer she will fly in until I have the time to really contour the scoop and lower cowling to a perfect transition. That is, as long as my oil temp issues are put to rest.
