Tonight I mounted the right aileron to the two wing mount hinges and was able to get the aileron centered with the alignment tool. This is much easier as a two man job, but since I was alone, it took me a little longer. The aileron actually sits nicely in place with the brackets inside of the hinges, leaning against the top skin. When you have all the bolts, nuts and spacers ready you install them one at a time - on the outer hinge and then inner hinge. The hard part is getting those spacers in place while holding things - that where the extra set of hands would be useful.
Next, I installed the bellcrank jig to hold the aileron bellcrank in the neutral position and installed the pushrods. I then adjusted the rod end bearings until the aileron was centered on the aileron alignment tool. i spent a lot of time fiddling here...Then I tightened the jam nuts and marked the W-818 pushrod as the "R" - Right aileron pushrod. Next step is the flap install
