The goal is to run the wiring for the wing tip lighting thru the wing conduit, so I pulled the wing tips off the wings and looked at installing the landing lights - and noticed I have an interference problem with the lighting mount and the lens attach nutplate. No problem, I fired up the dremel and shaved down the excess tag from the blind rivet on both of the problem rivets on both wing tips (4x).
This is the excess tag on the rivets that is aft of the structural connection - so it's kinda like the excess tag on a zip tie after you cinch it tight - no problem getting rid of the unused portion.
