Decided it was time to repair the poorly riveted bracket on the electric flap housing. Although it was under the seat back brace, and couldn't be seen, I knew how badly it was done. Drilled out the rivets and removed the RV-6 version, and prepared to fabricate a replacement on the vertical surface, like the RV-7 apparently has (www.rvproject.com) Dan Checkoway's site.
I cut out the backside (web) and fab'ed a new bracket of 0.063 scrap. Then did the usual, drill, debur, clecoe, etc. Screwed on the side covers of the housing to ensure the position was correct, too.
