Brief Description:  Fwd deck, skin fitting

F-671 fwd deck skin - drilled, deburred, and dimpled. Per plans, mostly, but did 1" spacing (instead of 1 1/4" along the subpanel. Back-drilled the sides to match the top longeron.

The firewall side is shown in plans as getting a hinge to attach the cowl. Not likely to go that route, thinking about fasteners. Either way, I probably should NOT have dimpled the F/W edge because it will make drilling through the fastener surface problematic.

Dependencies, always something else that cannot be done because it depends on a completion of another task.

This skin needs to come off again, be stored and wait for a lot of avionics, wiring, static and pitot tubes, and little black boxes. This section will be 'serviced' long-term from under the covers. Everything that goes in from the top will need to be serviced from the bottom.

How much to do on avionics, or leave it all clear for the finishing kit? Tip-up canopy.

Retrospective update - Should have NOT drilled the edge along the F-668 bulkhead. Needs to be done in conjunction with canopy frame fitting. In fact, should have delayed this fwd skin 'til then.
