Brief Description:  Flap linkage

Decided to experiment with the location of the Flap Position System - RayAllen sensor. Originally thought it would mount on the F-605 bulkhead backside. Decided that this might be a difficult location to reach since the "removable" side covers are very difficult to remove completely once the baggage compartment floor is riveted. Doesn't seem right but it is.

Fabricated a possible bracket to mount the sensor on the vertical aft support of the electric flap housing. Since there is alreay wiring in this area, it makes sense. The arm of the flap control makes a good place for the bracket, too.

Bolted the Lt flap link joint in the arm, and ran it through the range of motion, retract, and extend. Located a pilot hole, enlarged with the Unibit, and then repeated with a second hole. Connected the two holes to create a minimum slot for preliminary flap action. Repeated on the Rt side. Will fine tune when the wings are fitted.
