Brief Description: Engine Mount - nose gear & more
Difference between the nose gear bolt alignment with the FW hole for the bolt/nut required that the hole be re-drilled, enlarged, on the upper edge. A 2x4 was bolted to the FW with the two middle bolts of the engine mount, and a pre-drilled hole was positioned as a guide to drill. The hole cutter made a clean and quick hole at 1 1/8" dia, and with deburring and polishing presented a productive alignment which will allow access. Remaining problem is how to properly seal the FW with a new cover plug.
The oversize 1/8" thick washers (with some shaping) were installed in each of the engine/FW holes to move the castle nut into a better alignment for the cotter pins. All things considered, the mount was easier to re-install than the first time.Need to torque, mark, and finish with correct cotter pins.
