Brief Description: FW recess - and Rudder Controls
Removed the oil filter recess from the FW and ordered a 10"x12" SS sheet from Vans to replace it. The 90 deg angle fitting on the filter allows this change. The removal will eliminate the interference from the recess which restricts the rudder control tubes from moving forward for a tall pilot.
The rudder control support was trimmed initially to permit ONLY the aft most position of the pedals. Replacement part will be untrimmed.
Will have to drill the new FW plate to fit the eyeball cable fitting in the same relative positive for the AFP mixture cable.
