Received Vans order today with the pair of 5-pt harness crotch strap brackets, and like most RV-6 tasks will require some custom fitting. The width between the seat ribs on the QB are 1/16th inch too wide for a comfortable 'squeeze' fit. It would put a pre-load on ribs & rivets, and probably lead to more potential metal fatigue than it's worth to try. The time to repair such damage would be excessive. Better right than quick.
Have to find the method to narrow the brackets, which may entail slicing and splicing but that may be only the most obvious.
Also connected the Vans interior red LED to see how evenly and intensely it would illuminate the cabin. Very impressive.
