Brief Description: Fuel tank vent lines, finish tunnel cover
Finished the nutplates and applied a coat of paint to some components of the housing. High humidity with a rain storm coming through, so will delay more paint a few days. Cleaned up all chips and tools for a photo.
Then I started on the left side and secured the fuel tank vent line, previously fabricated, with nutplates and DG4 Adel clamps. Reviewed the plans on RV-7A Dwg #36A for the routing, and nutplate installation.
Varied a little from the plans, but it is shown one way on the RV-6 plans and slightly different on the RV-7 plans. The main difference is the exit point on the side of the fuselage. I chose to exit further aft more in line with the RV-7 plan. The purpose of the vent line is to allow atmospheric pressure adjustments to the fuel tanks without jeopardy of fuel spillage in the vent tubling. 1/4" alum tubing is used.
