Finished fabricating the UHM spacers for the cross-cabin tube of the canopy release mechanism, to move it forward and allow minimal clearance of the electric flap housing. As a result of the recent install of the linkage, the final fit could be determined. Bolts tightened and checked function.
Received my SafeAir1 static air kit and reviewed, inventoried, and checked RV-6A plans -- but couldn't find the referenced Figure 8-15, suggested port location.
UPDATE: found the original Vans instruction - showing 2.5" below longeron, and 1" forward of the F-606(?) bulkhead, but I measured 1.5" from rivet line of F-606)
Fabricated two brackets to secure the static tube fittings around the bulkhead and Adel clamps along longeron.
Received and reviewed plans for the SafeAir1 anodized aluminum pitot mast. Light, well-made, not-steel, and ready for my future Dynon AOA/Pitot tube to be added.
