Several days ago, I saw an ad on VAF for a FI filter and pump (Vans items), without any mountings, brackets, etc. Researched and found the FI Bracket kit on the Web store and thought this would be the needed items. Seemed to be correct after a note from Tech Support, but this $95 kit was not all I need for the RV-6A. (Might be for an RV-7). The missing pieces are the RV-7 components that cover the floor forward of the FI housing, the louvered panel against the firewall, and the fuel selection valve housing.
This information is from the instruction included in the FI Bracket Kit. Another $54 dollars and a couple more days will know for sure. This work supersedes my original plan to use the 'converted' battery box as a FI housing. Oh well - it's just time wasted.
The reason for acquisition of these components is because of the plan to use essentially the RV-7 firewall configuration. This inludes my intent to use the AFP fuel injection system and RV-7 'plumbing design'.
