This evening was lots fo fun, after I made another template and again adjusted and cut the front hoop to length, I got get Anne-Marie to sit in the plane, while I lifted and positioned the canopy. Anne-Marie then held the front hoop in position against the canopy and I marked where the ends of the hoop touched the canopy frame. Once this was done I had to make the front hoop support brackets as these are the first things that seems to be missing from my kit, I made them at a guess out of 30 thou aluminium and bent them to an angle to match the hoop when it was held in position. Once this bracket was drilled and clecoed in place, Anne-Marie again got into the plane to check allignment etc. Its all fits really well except that I have to shorten the right hoop by about 5mm and pull it back slightly. I'll need to find out what the recommended material is for the front hoop support barckets as believe it or not, my plans do not specify.

Once the left side hoop is pulled back further, the center of the hoop will be correctly centered
