Brief Description:  Dimple top rear skin and fit filler cap

After flying, well actually it was too windy to fly so I did maintenance on my Bipe after doing 4 circuits at Cessnock, Clive gave me a hand to dimple the rear top skin of the right wing, 1 hour later we where done. After Clive had gone, I realised that I had not dimpled the top of the rear spar and the top of the front spar, so off came the skin again. Let me tell you there are a lot of holes. It took about 1.5 hour to dimple the front and rear spar. OK really finished this time, put the skin back on, I then enlarged the hole for the fuel filler cap with a half round file, as one edge of the inside bevel of the flange was contacting the skin and not allowing the cap to sit down properly. Once this was done I screwed the filler cap back into the tank to check the areas that needed packing. It took me three attempts to get it as close as can be seen in the photo's below. One edge on the bottom right of photo 2, still needs more packing as you can still push the skin away from the filler cap. I have left it all clecoed in place over night to see what the effect of compressing the sponge will be in the morning ie. more packing...
