Marked up the left hand flap skin, this was much easier the second time around, no mistakes this time with the measurements. I followed this by laying out the rivet pitch on the front, top and bottom skin. Once this was done I cut the excess material from the inboard side of the right skin. The cut was then filed smooth and all the rivet holes where back drilled with a #40 drill, I completed the back drilling in what seemed like record time, this is also getting easier, the drill now rarely wonders off to leave my signiture on the skin. Once the back drilling was completed, I marked and drilled hte inboard end rib with a 1/4 inch drill, also marked and drilled the nylon support bracket and pop riveted it in place. Time for dinner, some wine and a bit of TV.
I faxed off the customs clearance form this morning, so am not really expecting to see the new aileron skin till Monday.
