I read about cracking problems when you dimple #8 screw holes on VAF. This is a part I really don't want to have to buy again so I spent some time deburring not only the hole edge, but running little strips of maroon ScotchBright through the holes to polish the bearing surface. It seemed to have worked as I didn't have any cracked dimples.
Sprayed some SEM green primer on both the splice strip and the mating surface of the stall warning switch plate. After the primer dried I installed all of the nutplates.
Finally I reassembled the rib back in place with the splice strip so that it's ready for riveting.
