Welcome to my experimental aircraft web site. This is a log of my journey building Sonex #0367. Building an airplane has been a dream of mine for a very long time. I remember when I first saw a Zenith kit being built in an article I read in POPULAR MECHANICS, August 1997 magazine. I remember thinking how cool it would be to be able to fly an airplane that you built yourself. I ended up deciding to build the Sonex because of the ease of building, great plans, factory support, and Sonex has the most complete aircraft building systems I have seen. From the tail to the AeroVee engine, Sonex seemed to have the best airplane package for a novice builder. I was planning to order the tail kit this winter, but ended up buying a partially completed kit.
