Welcome to my Experimental Aircraft Website. I just joined up with KitLog in the first part of Dec 05. I purchased a partially constructed Starduster, no not a Starduster II, but a Starduster. It is the original single place bi-wing that Lou Stolp designed. The plans are only 11 pages long with no builder's guide other than what is drawn on the plans. I will even have to determine C of G, because it is no where to be found on the plans. In any event this plane was started originally in 1973 by William B Maddex Jr. of Des Moines, Iowa. The fuselage, gear, and empenage, as well as the engine mount was completed prior to my purchase.
I purchased it in April of 2005, from his son William E. Maddex, of Sandy Utah. The Senior Maddex is deceased, and his son did not have the time to devote to it. I am gradually getting paperwork and misc things caught up to devote full time to the remainder of the construction. I have concentrated most of the building time to the Firewall forward.
