Welcome to our experimental aircraft Web site.
My wife, Tracy, and I are building an RV-9A.
We purchased a lot of parts including an engine for our RV-9A in the form of a Beechcraft Skipper. We plan to dismantle it and use the 0235 engine (only 225 hours on new rebuild)and hopefully many other parts in our RV-9.
Van's book numbers show over 160 MPH cruise, 1200 FM climb, take off and landing roll of 400 feet, all this while burning 5.5 gph!! WOW, We see no reason to use a larger engine. This is better than Cessana 182 numbers!!
So, for now, I have a lot of parts for our RV that we can FLY until the RV is ready for the engine.
