August 21, 2022: Update, Project Sold to a new home! Can't wait to see it flying soon. March 25, 2018: Project Start This is my first airplane kit that I have started building. Many moons ago I bought an early Glasair rudder kit and decided very quickly that I'm not into fiberglass, epoxy and micro balloons. Then not too long ago I bought a Sonex Waiex tail kit, and never started on it as I wasn't sure if it was the right plane for me so I sold it. In 2015 I ran across the TAF Sling while researching kits again and decided that's my kind of airplane so I bought most of the kits for the Sling 2 (minus wings, finishing kits). It sat in the garage for 3 years as life got in the way, but now I am committed to the build and have carved out a big block of time for this project. My rough plan is to have the plane ready for engine and avionics by May 2019. I'm really enjoying working on this kit.
