Tims Lightning XS
Welcome to my Lightning XS Web site. I'm documenting this Lightning build for a couple of reasons. First, this is a dream come true and I want to share it with friends and family that can't pop over to have a look. Second, there have been several upgrades to the kit which are not captured in the current builders manual. I've found a few other builder's sites that have been a big help to me when trying to figure out just what to do. I'm hoping that this site will help others do the same. To that end, some of the descriptions will be pretty detailed to describe the processes I haven't seen elsewhere. I'm not saying this is how you should do it, I'm just showing how I did it. Now that the building is finished, I realize there will be many tweaks in my future. Just as a good pilot is always learning, a good builder is always improving. Let the adventure continue!
