Brief Description:  Drill Left Aileron Outboard Hinge Bracket

21-3: Not much work done this weekend with participation and some flying out at The Ranch (18FD); EAA and HOA meetings and a short flight in a Beech Sierra.
Step 1: Clecol the L Main outboard rib to the spar assy and final drill #40 holes to be c-sinked later. Cleco the Outboard Hinge Bracket into place and #30 match drilled all three holes. The center hole was only for alignment while drilling the outer bracket holes later to 3/16 inch.
Step 2: Final drilled hinge bracket, doubler, spar and main rib spar attach flange to 3/16 inch. I used progressive bit sizes from #30, 9/64, 5/32, 11/64, then 3/16. Reason is I had to go through the steel hinge, then aluminum and was in search of a perfectly aligned and round hole. First hole was a bit difficult as bit would grab and spin in the drill. Went to slower drill (cordless) and used less pressure until it stopped grabbing. By the second hole I seemed to have this down pat and both holes came out much better than any of my previous attemts on other parts of the airplane.
Step 3: Removed all parts, deburred and countersunk the two #40 holes for NAS 1097 AD3 rivets.
