Brief Description:  Aileron and Flap Torsion Box Assy

Added 8 ft long angle iron and hardboard to torsion box for riveting alerons and flaps. This torsion box turned out imense and heavy. It is not something that is necessary only that I've always wanted and true surface to build critical surfaces like alerons, flaps, elevators and rudders. I have elevators that were built under the guidance of Alexander Technical Center in GA on what was simply a 4x8 folding table with leg extensions. I measured some minor twist after assemby at home and am not sure it was the elevator build or other componet assemblies that led to this misalignment from the left to right elevators once installed. It could even be the horizonal stabilizer itself but that is doubtful. None-the-less, I have some incentive to keep it straight from here on out thus the torsion box. Time will tell if it is effective for such a project or if I just waited my time (and money).

I added a 2x2 inch by 1/4 in angle iron with 2 sheets of 1/8 inch hardboard to level out the table and provide a replaceable working surface. I have what I think is about 1/10 th deg of twist over its 8 ft length which I can take out with shims and clamps. Although I could take this twist out by leaving it in a forced straightended tension for one month I found it returned to its original twist state. Lengthwise it is perfectly straight. It's probably close enough for predrilled aircraft parts.
