Manual Reference:  18-3, 18-4
Brief Description:  R-Tank Assy, Match Drill, Label, and Disassemble

18-3:
Step 1: Fit and drill w/ #40 J-Stiffener to Tank Skin.
Step 2: Cleco and drill Tank Attach Bracket.
Step 3: Fit R-Tank Fuel Cap Flange. This one was in bad shape. The other one was fine and did not require adjustment. This one seemed to be over bent only on one side. I flattened and reshaped back to dimensions of 3/64 inch but found that still to be a bit strong on the contour so relaxed the dimensions slightly. I will recheck the L-Wing Fuel Cap Flange now that I have all this experience with the right one. Used the vise and my hands to bend the flanges.
Step 4: Fit and drilled the Fuel Cap Flange and Vent Clip to the Tank Skin.

18-4:
Step 1: Fabricated Tank Attach Zee's with nutplates using NAS 1097 AD3-3.5 rivets as before.
Step 2: Clecoed and final drilled the aft tank inboard rib to the tank skin and attach bracket.
Step 3: Clecoed and final drilled the Tank Baffle and Attach Zee's to the tank rib aft flanges.
Step 4: Clecoed and final drilled the Tank Skin to the upper and lower flanges of the Tank Baffle.
Step 5: Drilled screw holes of Fuel Tank Skin with #19 bit.
Step 6: Skipped. Will dimple flanges.
Step 7: Labeled all items as installed, noted on drawings.
Step 8: Disassembled R-Tank. Machine countersinked Fuel Cap Flange part way until I broke my last 3/32 single flute countersink bit. Selected some choice words and informed the world I was not happy with this feeble product. But I like the results so I went on line and ordered 10 more with 3 backup 3 fluted countersinks that don't break as easily but do not do as nice a job. Stripped sections of blue vinyl off outside of R-Tank Skin along rivet lines. Called it a night.
