Brief Description: First engine start, systems test run
Big day! We started and ran the engine for the first time.
Image 1 shows Tony and me motoring the starter to pump oil through the engine and up to the oil pressure sender.
Image 2 shows the first start and run. It caught on the 2nd attempt and ran rough initially. A plug from each magneto in cylinders 3 and 4 were fouled, but leaning it out cleared them nicely.
Image 3 shows the small crowd there to assist. Randy Richmond dropped by to adjust the mixture and idle speeds...thanks, good Sir!
No leaks, no problems, minor adjustments! After two runs, we tucked her away in the hangar and checked for leaks. Now she just needs a bath.
