Brief Description: Installing the ailerons, part 1
I began installing the ailerons today. Pretty straight forward: Just pay close attention to the placement of spacers and washers, including the connections to the aileron pushrods.
Note the Delryn stop-block in image 2. Instead of building the little aluminum stop block as prescribed in the plans, I'm employing a technique used widely and successfully by many RV-7 and RV-8 builders: Use a cylinder of nylon Delryn as a spacer on the AN-3 bolt as a top for max aileron travel. I forget what outside diameter I used for this block (I fabricated it in 2011), but it should do the trick.
