Brief Description: Set the wing incidence and sweep
Leveled the fuselage laterally and longitudinally.
Attached four plumb lines to the wing leading edges to check that there is no sweep.
Measured the distance from a common centerline point on the aft fuselage to corresponding points on the wing tips to ensure that the wings are square to the fuselage.
To our amazement the two items above were absolutely spot on with no adjustments required.
Marked out the hole position in the rear spars as per section C-C, DWG80. There is more than enough edge distance horizontally and with the drill bushes we made it will be easy to ensure edge distance vertically.
Set the wing incidence angle as per instructions and clamped the rear spar and drill bushes in position.
Checked all the measurements again to make sure nothing had moved while clamping.
Took a break.
Re-checked all the measurements and decided we are ready to drill!
