Brief Description:  Cowl, Baffles, and Cabin Cover

I worked on trimming the air inlet ramps that go under the upper cowl. It took me about a dozen interations to get it right. I had to cut out a section to fit around the Hartzell Govenor. Apparently, I created an issue when I skipped this step earlier in the construction. The ramp on the baffle wasn't steep enough and it hit the inlet ramp. I had to trim the baffle down about 1/2" in the front and slop it back towards the first cylinder on each side. Once I trimmed the baffle, the cowl fit just fine. I then proceeded to epoxy these two pieces onto the upper cowl.

Janice worked on sanding the cabin cover, upper and lower cowling, and the oil door. There are still some pin holes around the edge of the oil door, but the hidden hinge and latches look pretty nice. A lot better than the exposed hinge and latches in the plans.
