Brief Description: Governor and Mixture Control Cables
The extension arm arrived yesterday, so I installed it on the governor this morning. It solved the problem. It frustrates to no end that Van's is selling a turnkey FWF and Engine, but don't include critical components in the kit.
I was short about 1/16" to 1/8" on the mixture to go stop to stop. I spent the whole day attempting to figure out a way to make it go stop to stop. Joe Strausbaugh stopped by and offered some opinions. After he left, the light bulb went off. I measured the throw of the cable. It was only 1 5/8". It's suppose to be 2" to 2 1/8". I think I need to adjust the end at the throttle quadrant to make up for this shortage.
I picked up my AFS 4500 EFIS from Fedex this evening. It was returned from being repaired. An internal video cable to the LCD screen came loose.
