Brief Description: Baffle #5
|
|
I spent some time unpinning the connectors for the GTX330, and the GNS430 that for the last two years I was planning to install. I'm replacing them with a GTX327 (and NavWorx ADSB) and a GTN650. So I will be rebuilding the harnesses when the new gear arrives in a few weeks.
FF2-8, Steps 1, 2, 3, 4, & 5
Remove the three engine case bolts and the aft lifting strap from the top of the engine.
Final-Drill 1/4 dia. the two lower holes in the CB-l007D Aft Center Support Bracket that attach to the engine case. Final-Drill 1/4 dia. the lower hole in the CB-l001D Fwd Center Bracket that attaches to the engine case. The bracket wants to share the same space as one of the fuel lines. I need to determine what's the best method to resolve this conflict. I sent an email to the Matronics list and to AirFlow Performance soliciting opinions.
Final-Drill #12 the hole in the upper flange of the CB-l0010 Fwd Center Bracket.
Deburr the holes and edges on both the CB-l00l0 Fwd Center Bracket and CB-l007D Aft Center Support Bracket.
Using the engine hardware, bolt the CB-l007D Aft Center Support Bracket and CB-l00lD Fwd Center Bracketto the engine. The forward face of the CB-l001D Fwd Center Bracket needs to be parallel with the forward face of the starter ring gear.
FF2-9, Step 1
Use the hardware shown to attach the Cylinder 5 Baffle Assembly and Cylinder 6 Baffle Assembly to the engine. Unfortunately, it isn't obvious to me how to do this at the moment. I sent an email to the Matronics list solicting some advice.
