Brief Description:  Rod Bower Ram Air

Unfortuantely, Rod Bower was hospitalized due to a recent surgery. Rod gave me a call yesterday to help me better understand how his new ram air product is to be installed. My confusion was due to the way Lycoming mounted one of the AFP adapters. Once I took that off, everything made sense.

I mounted the new 90 degree elbow to the engine sump. I then mounted the AFP FM-200 fuel controller to the elbow. I need to check on the orientation of the fuel controller. I'm not sure if putting the fixtures/controller on top is too close to the engine from a heat perspective. It's unclear if I flip it if there is enough room above the cowl.

I loosely put Rod's air filter on the fuel controller. I will permanently mount once I determine the best orientation of the fuel controller.
