FF1-4, Steps 1, 2, 3, 4, & 5

Install a KB-OOO Straight fitting into the fuel pump inlet on the right side of the engine driven fuel pump. Install an F 69-F-04X02 Brass Elbow to the overflow port on the aft side of the engine driven fuel pump (leave the nut and ferrule on at this time).

Unable to install a KB-090-T Tee Fitting to the fuel pump outlet on the left side of the engine driven fuel pump. Install a VA-12B Restrictor Fitting into the female port in the tee fitting. This was due to the fact Vans back ordered the KB-090-T in my FWF kit.

Install an AN823-8D 45ยท Elbow fitting in the upper oil cooler port. Install an AN816-8D Nipple in the lower oil cooler port.

Install a VA-12B Restrictor Fitting into the oil pressure port.

Install a AN8l6-4D Nipple in the manifold pressure priming port on the #5 Cylinder.

Install the PROP GOV MT P-420-17 to the front of the engine per the instructions supplied with the governor. Vans sent me the Hartzell S-1-32 prop governor (so I don't have a MT Governor) and there were no instructions included with the governor. I will follow up with both Vans and Hartzell on Monday.

Install any other accessories to rear of the engine at this time. I started to install the SD-20 alternator, but stopped when I noticed the clearance on the mechanical tachometer port. That got me research about what goes into this port. Since AFS uses a sensor on the mags to determine RPM, I need to determine the best practice to deal with this. I assume that it will just be capped.

I also start installing the mount ears on the engine block. Unfortuantely the forward bolts require a wrench size that I happened to break last week. I have to go to Sears today. I'll replace the Chinese HR wench with a Craftsman.
