38-4, Steps 5 & 6
Bolt the Bearing Block Mount Plate to the Forward Fuselage Longeron using the hardware. Bolt the remaining mount plate to the Forward Fuselage Longeron. Slip a Rudder Pedal Bearing Block onto either end of the Rudder Pedals. Bolt the bearing blocks to the Bearing Block Mount Plate.

38-5, Steps 1, 2, & 3
Insert upper half of the Rudder Pedal Bearing Block under the Rudder Pedal Brace and over the Rudder Pedals. Horizontally space the upper half of the bearing block away from the left Rudder Pedal Bearing Block. Clamp the upper half of the Rudder Pedal Bearing Block to the Rudder Pedal Brace. Match-Drill #12 the two vertical holes in the bearing block into the brace. Remove the upper half of the bearing block and deburr the holes in the brace. Bolt both the upper and lower halves of the Rudder Pedal Bearing Block to the Rudder Pedal Brace.

38-6, Steps 1, 2 & 3
I deviated from the plans and installed premade Teflon, stainless steel braided cables instead of the standard nylon tubing from Van’s.
Connect the Brake Hoses from the Elbow Bulkhead Fittings located on the Tri-gear Brake Bracket to the Elbows installed in the lower ports of the pilot master cylinders. The brake hoses should be installed so they do not chafe on one another. If hoses are rubbing protect one hose with spiral wrap or equivalent.
The brake lines interconnect the upper ports of the pilot side brake master cylinders to the lower ports.on the co-pilot side brake master cylinders. The lines pass through Snap Bushings in the Rudder Pedal Brace and are tie-wrapped to the Rudder Pedals on the co-pilot side of the aircraft. Connect the brake llines to the elbows.

38-7, Steps 1, 2, & 3
The Bonaco brake kit supplied alternative connections to attach the brake lines to the reservoir.
Bolt the Brake Reservoir to the Firewall Bulkhead Assembly. Connect the brake lines.
