Brief Description:  Brakes, continued #2

I drilled the Matco brake cylinder mounting hole on the brake pedals. I don't know what this wasn't pre-drilled. I then took the pedals apart so that they can be primed and painted the same color as the fuselage interior. I got all the brake pedal parts primed. I also primed the brake pedal mounting plate.

While the primer was drying on the brake parts, I started painting the brake/rudder pedal assembly the same color as the interior.

I ran out of paint about 3/4's of the way through the job. Unfortunately, the paint color I'm using is not stocked locally. I have another six cans arriving tomorrow. So this will have to wait until late tomorrow to complete this task. Hopefully, Fedex will show up early enough so that I can get the paint done before it starts raining.

This brings up a pet peeve I have with Fedex. There standard ground delivery time was on Tuesday, but the box was in their local facility at 6:30am on Saturday. Fedex will not deliver early. They will hold the box and deliver on their committed service date. This is why I like UPS. At least they will deliver their packages as soon as they arrive locally.
