Brief Description:  Throttle Quadrant

I worked on getting the throttle quadrant mounted today. I finish the final trimming of the carbon fiber throttle quadrant insert. I also took off the upper forward fuselage assembly to make working on the throttle quadrant easier. It will easy working with the upper fuselage assembly upside down on the work bench, instead of me upside down underneath the panel.

I had to remove the stock Van's mounting plate on the rear subpanel. The reason is that the carbon fiber instrument panel is a few inches lower that the stock panel. I drilled five #30 holes through the quadrant mounting plate and the bottom of the rear subpanel.

I'm having a problem with about a 1/6" gap between the throttle quadrant and the quadrant insert at the bottom. I'm going to talk to Geoff at Aerosport Products before drilling the final holes for the quadrant. I suspect that if I add a washer to the rear mounting points, everything will fit just fine.
