Brent Owens dropped by to assist me in timing the magnetos after we did the magneto mods for the G3i Electronic Ignition. Something ran amuck, becuase the timing lights wouldn't go out no matter how far we rotated the mags. After three hours, we called it quits and will escalate to more experienced folks. I will call G3i tomorrow and Joe Strausbaugh will stop by as well.
After Brent left, i installed the two control cables for the heater in the panel. I still have to do the firewall forward portions.
I then installed the three control cables into the throttle quadrants. Like the heater cables, I still have to do the firewall forward portions.
Next was to install the glareshield from Flightline Interiors.
Then I pulled the GTN650 from the panel. Justin at Spriti Avionics is going to do a software upgrade tomorrow and see if I need the NAV board mod. There is also a mod to implement a transmit lock, but Garmin won't automatically upgrade unless you experience a problem.
