Brief Description:  Panel Switch Wiring and Compressor Repair

Several weeks ago, my Husky (Campbell Hausfeld) compressor died. I dropped it off a week and a half ago at the only authorized warranty repair station in the area. It turns out they have a "F" rating with the BBB and another party claims it took a year to get their compressor back. I hope I don't have the same luck. So, I started working on "Plan B".

My Harbor Freight compressor died about a year ago, which is why I bought the Husky. At the time, I couldn't find any repair advice. I found some yesterday. It appears that HF discontinued these because they had a high percentage of units blow a gasket. The instructions were to pull the head, make a pair of gaskets, and then reseal. The gaskets were a weird shape, but I used some generic gasket material from the local autostore. Because of the cold temps, I'll probably have to wait a few days to see if my repair works. When I took the unit apart, one of the gaskets were indeed blown. This took most of my time today.

I ended the day by wiring the switch bank that will go into the lower console panel underneath the throttle quadrant and started wiring the switch back that will go underneath the comm stack.
