Brief Description: Oil Cooler, RMP Sensor, and Oil Pressure Switch
I started to install the oil cooler. I filled the oil cooler with about a quart of mineral oil and installed the fittings in preparation for mounting the cooler on the firewall. When I went to mount the cooler on the firewall, it became apparent that I needed to get the exhaust installed first or the exhaust wouild be very difficult to install. Cooler delayed until the next session.
I went to install the RPM sensor on the right magneto, but I couldn't get a wrench to the port. That meant that I had to take the mag off one more time. So much for the timing that Joe assisted me with. Once the mag was off, I installed the RPM sensor. I didn't mark the mag, so the timing shouldn't be too far off when I re-time.
I had a oil pressure switch that I installed on the manifold on the firewall several years ago. The purpose that I was going to use the switch for isn't being implemented, so I took it off. Unfortunately, I had to almost take the manifold off the firewall to accomplish removal.
